How to clean crystal bracelets with small tricks

I believe many girls have gone through a phase where they adore wearing crystal bracelets on their hands. Since crystal bracelets are frequently worn on the hands, they are bound to get dirty over time. So, what should we do when the crystal beads become soiled? How should we clean them properly?

What to Do When Crystal Beads Become Soiled

  1. Running Water Cleaning Technique

Turn on your faucet (preferably with a water purifier). Place the crystals in a small dish and rinse them thoroughly for about ten minutes. After rinsing, allow them to air dry naturally in the sunlight or a shady area. This method also offers a purifying effect.

  1. Sunlight Exposure Method

Expose the crystals to sunlight for several hours, allowing nature’s most powerful force to purify your crystals. However, please remember that this method is not suitable for colored gemstones such as amethyst, citrine, or pink crystal, as these crystals contain elements like iron (Fe) and copper (Cu). Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause oxidation or alter the molecular structure of the crystals due to high temperatures, leading to discoloration.

  1. Burying in the Earth Method

The burying in the earth method is one of the most potent methods. For instance, if a crystal has been worn by someone who is ill, it is advisable to use the burying in the earth method. Since crystals originate from the earth, returning them to their natural habitat offers the best purifying effect. However, ensure it is unpolluted land, and there is no specific time limit. It is recommended to leave it for at least a month for optimal results.

  1. Sea Salt Purification Technique

Place the crystals in a container filled with sea salt water. The purifying effect of unprocessed coarse salt (pure natural sea salt) can effectively purify the crystals. The duration is not limited; it can be overnight or for 24 hours. After soaking, rinse the crystals thoroughly and let them air dry naturally in the sunlight or a shady area. However, this method is not applicable to crystals adorned with other decorations, such as those wrapped in K-gold, silver pendants, or those with Chinese knot rope accessories, as the accessories may be corroded.

Things That Clash with Crystals

People wearing crystal necklaces should also be mindful of a few things that clash with crystals. For example, wearing blue crystals simultaneously with Buddha, Bodhisattva, Pixiu, Eight Trigrams Mirror, Dragon-Turtle, Chinese Cabbage, God of Wealth, Eagle, Wenchang Tower, Treasure Basin, Mount Tai Stone, etc., is not advisable. This is because wearing Buddha or Bodhisattva represents practicing Buddhism, which emphasizes not seeking for this life but for the next. Buddhism teaches that everything is like a dream, and all material possessions are external. Wearing blue crystals along with “Buddha or Bodhisattva” will render them ineffective and can only be worn as ordinary accessories.

Choose a crystal necklace of an appropriate size. It is advisable to avoid wearing overly large pendant-style crystal necklaces for slim girls or large, short-style bead-type crystal necklaces for slightly overweight women to avoid unsightly mismatches.
